Eat Your Heart Out, La Durée!

I've been a horrible blogger lately. So I will make it up to you all by posting an EXTREMELY COMPLICATED AND SLIGHTLY FAIL item that my home friends and I constructed, with hopes of rivaling the perfect confections of La Durée in Paris.

We got a Martha Stewart recipe off the internet, and attempted to make Parisian macaroons! I'm not even going to post the recipe, because it is super long and complex, and we made no adaptations from Martha.

I will, however, show you how we expected our macaroons to look:
