Pecan Balls

So browsing foodgawker for Christmas cookies I found these delicious looking pecan balls covered in icing sugar and showed them to Caitlin. Turns out Caitlin had a recipe for the same thing except hers is way cooler because it is a family tradition long passed on from her very cool sounding g-ma. So decided to follow the (very vague) Reid recipe and they were so delicious. I advise doubling this recipe because you will want some to keep if you plan on taking them to a holiday party!

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
4 tbsp. sugar
2 cups ground pecans and/or walnuts
2 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
About 1 1/2 cups of icing sugar

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a large bowl, cream together all of the ingredients except the icing sugar.
2. Roll into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
3. Let cool for a few minutes so you don't burn your fingers but while still warm roll the balls in icing sugar. The cookies will absorb the icing sugar (it's weird) so give them another roll so they are nice and white looking. Yum!
